On the 26th January MSA Nederland BV held it’s first gas detection seminar at the Keringhuis, part of the impressive Maeslant Storm Surge Barrier in Hoek van Holland. 40 Participants from major companies in the oil, gas and chemical industry came together and enjoyed a well-organized day, full with lectures on safety related topics such as SIL; ATEX and Ultrasone detection.
During the breaks and lunch the participants had the chance to have a closer look at the full product range from MSA including fixed gas and flame detectors and the portable gas detectors Altair 4X and 5X. Especially the recently launched UltraSonic IS and EX 5 ultrasone detectors got the full attention as this detector makes it possible to detect gas leaks under pressure at the speed of sound.

Protected by the MSA V-Gard 500 hard hat, the participants also enjoyed a tour at the Maeslant Storm Surge Barrier. This barrier is the last part of the Dutch Delta Works and is the world’s largest moveable barrier that protects the lower parts of the Netherlands against high water from the North Sea. This is a unique location that serves the same goals as MSA. Protect people against possible hazards.
MSA will continue to organise seminars in the near future. If you want to show your interest in future seminars from MSA, please send your mail to msa.gasdetectie@msaned.nl
